The Atlanta Falcons are expected to be on the search for their next franchise quarterback this offseason.
And according to former Seattle Seahawks star Shaun Alexander, Atlanta's new head coach Raheem Morris could be interested in Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.
Alexander joined Kay Adamas on the "Up & Adams" show on Thursday where he discussed such rumblings.
“I’ve been hearing, maybe Atlanta," Alexander said. "They’ve got a good tight end, good receivers, line’s okay.”

Yep, if the 35-year-old veteran quarterback came to Atlanta he would be surrounded by top weapons that are waiting to shine in running back Bijan Robinson, tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London.
When the Broncos did a blockbuster trade for Wilson in 2022, giving up several draft picks and players to Seattle and signing Wilson to a five-year, $242.6 million contract, they believed that he would be their answer in turning things around.
But that hasn't been the result.
The Broncos went 5-12 during the first year with Wilson under center and improved to a mere 8-9 in 2023.
In 15 starts this past season, Wilson completed 66.4 percent of his passes for 3,070 yards with 26 touchdown passes and eight interceptions.
Additionally, Wilson and head coach Sean Payton did not get along.
Now, the Broncos are expected to release Wilson before they get hit with having to pay another fully guaranteed part of his contract.
When that happens, the Falcons could snag him to a veteran’s minimum on a one-year deal if they wanted to.
The Falcons also have the No. 8 overall pick of the NFL Draft this year and the rookie quarterback class is stacked with talent.
There's a lot to consider and the pressure is on for Atlanta to get it right this time.
