It's a beautiful day for a full slate of baseball, so let's attack it with my three favorite strikeout props for Sunday in MLB.
The Tampa Bay Rays may have the best record in MLB this season, but they're not perfect by any stretch. Over the last 15 days, the Rays have the fifth-most strikeouts in the league with 125. Joe Musgrove has gone over this number in three of his last five starts, and this is an easier matchup than it seems on the surface.
It hasn't been the best year for Chicago White Sox starter Lance Lynn. His 6.75 ERA is the worst of his 12-year career, and he's given up the second-most home runs in MLB (18). Lynn hasn't cleared this number in five straight starts, and I think he'll have a tough time doing so against a Seattle Mariners offense that's made a habit of chasing starters early.
Zack Wheeler hasn't been his usual self for most of the season, but his 10.3 strikeouts per nine innings is still the second-best mark of his career. On Sunday, he gets to face an Oakland Athletics lineup that has the most strikeouts (67) and the second-worst batting average (.202) in the league over the last week.
