The Bryant-Wagner game was delayed on Tuesday night after a fight broke out around the student section during the NEC Championship Game.
The two schools were playing at Bryant’s home arena, the Chace Athletic Center, in the Northeast Conference Tournament finals. The Bryant student section was seated nearby Wagner’s bench, which led to some fighting with under five minutes left in the game and the Bulldogs holding a big lead.

The game was suspended for 25 minutes as the situation was brought under control. A few fans were ejected, while Wagner’s Will Martinez was ejected for leaving the bench.

The teams had to be cleared off the floor while the matter was sorted out. They were eventually let back on and allowed to resume the game.
Bryant won 70-43 to clinch its first ever NCAA Tournament berth. They got out to a huge 38-12 first half lead and never looked back. The lopsided margin may have played a role in frustration developing among the fans.
